Description Nestled among pines, cedars, and firs alongside Mears Creek in the Upper Sacramento River Canyon, the Best in the West Resort provides the perfect access to Mount Shasta (just 20 minutes to the north), Lake Shasta (20 minutes to the south), Castle Crags State Park (5 minutes), the Sacramento River (2 minutes), and Mears Creek (outside your back door.) Our five cozy cottages have complete kitchens with gas ranges and wood heating stoves, one or two bedrooms with queen-size beds, full bath, and back deck. Across the road we feature an RV park with full hookups, and a laundromat. Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please call in advance to see about availability of space.
